Best Restaurants in Le Touquet

Le Matisse Restaurant Le Touquet

Best Restaurants in Le Touquet

Le Matisse  is one of the best restaurants in Le Touquet. Situated in the heart of town the restaurant  has a capacity of 100 seats inside. Divided into three rooms with different atmospheres (with a non-smoking room and air-conditioned).  Al fresco dining on the street is relaxing even if it’s not that warm as the heaters take care of that.  Its a great place to soak up the Le Touquet ambience.

Best Restaurants in Le Touquet
Sabine, Nicolas and their  team are warm and welcoming to their family restaurant, Creperie, Pizzeria.  The one thing that can catch you out in Le Touquet is not eating at the correct time. There are some great places to eat in Le Touquet but if you find yourself wanting a meal at 4 pm then you may struggle to find anywhere open. Le Matisse fills this gap nicely opening from 9 am until 11pm daily. All the usual French dishes are available such as the Moules Mariner with garlic and frites, Beef Bourguignon, Escargots . Sometimes nothing else will do except a burger and chips. The burgers are great made from quality meat and served with a decent portion of frites with fresh salad. Le Matisse offers consistently good food with real value for money. Highly recommended. Le Matisse 68 rue de Metz – 62520 LE TOUQUET-PARIS-PLAGE Tel .: 03 21 05 94 81

Cafe des Arts Foie gras Le Touquet

Le Cafe des Arts
80 rue de Paris, 62520 Le Touquet – Paris-Plage, France

Jérôme Panni is the Chef at Le Cafe des Arts who’s motto is “There is no good cooking if at first it is not made out of friendship for the one to whom it is intended.”
The is certainly true of the warm welcome you receive when entering this family run restaurant.
Le Cafe des Arts has been in the Rue de Paris for many years, serving good French provencal food with a smile…nice seating, with proper table cloths, exceelent service and above all great food.
There are a range of pricing options available but the Set Menu offers great value for money and amazing food.

2 set menus plus a la carte

Starters €9
Main Course €18 – €25
Set Menu €29 or €45 including Foi Gras or Suamon Gravelax as a speciality

Foie gras is a well-known delicacy in French cuisine. The flavor is intense described as buttery, delicate, unlike ordinary duck or goose liver. Foie gras is often sold whole or served as a mouse or pâté. Often the delicacy may be served as an accompaniment to steak or other main dishes such as steak. French laws dictate how Fois Gras is produced to protect the cultural and gastronomical heritage of France.

Gourmet Dining in Le Touquet

fruit-filled-choux-pastry Le Touquet

Discover new flavours and taste associations at the Village Suisse Restaurant. Try the Blue Lobster Saint Jacques with Butternut Squash and ginger. Or maybe the Feuillete Champignons es Bois. As the waiter passes by with other dishes it makes it even harder to choose.

Then there is the dessert menu, Pineapple Coco, Chocolate Pear, Rhubarb and Verveine or opt for something simple and refreshing such as the Citron Lemon.

The only problem you will have is deciding what to have from the beautifully presented range of dishes.

Citron-Dessert - Le Touquet
The Village Suisse Restaurant located in the heart of Le Touquet in an area that carries the same name. In 1906 Mr. Perret-Maisonneuve, assisted by the architect Bertrand, built a village on the dunes of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage which was to remind him of Switzerland.

The excellent French European menu is well worth the climb up a few uneven steps.
In good weather, there is a choice of outside dining on the balcony overlooking the village district of Le Touquet. Or chose the delightful, luxurious dining room inside.
On a summers evening the balcony location is difficult to beat.

If you are thinking of visiting this restaurant in Le Touquet then I would recommend making a reservation.

I Found The Best Bakery in Le Touquet

French Bread Le Touquet
If you are staying at one of our holiday rentals then you will inevitably want to buy some  bread. On a sunny morning walk nothing  beats the smell of fresh bread wafting in the air. This is one of the delights of breakfast in France.
The French seem to have some magical recipe for making baguettes that is never accomplished in other countries.

The Bakery Fred is my favourite patisserie in the town.  You will remember the baguettes or wands as one of the best you have ever eaten.
The crumbs are airy, the crust crunchy without being too hard, no need to break your teeth on any chewy hard bits.
Sunday morning’s queue of anxious customers speaks volumes for this bakeries popularity.
From the street, you can see the master baker at work and the batches follow to please the long line of regulars and tourists.

The Viennese Pastries are amazing!

Viennese pastries Le Touquet
If you thought there was only one type of baguette think again.  There is a choice of 5 at Fred’s. If you find the Retro wand too small or are feeling hungry then opt for the “go large” Chef’s Baguette which is twice as big as the Retro Baguette.

Types of Baguette
Baguette Rétrodor
Baguette Rétro au sésame
Baguette aux lardons
Baguette viennoise
Baguette du chef – Twice as much fun as the Retro Baguette

A great place for fantastic bread – They even have a loyalty card.
